Episode 172: We Forgot Cabin in the Woods

by admin on February 3, 2013

The title will make sense once you hear the episode. Dawn catches a bunch of shrapnel from a nostalgia bomb, because one of the dark sides of nostalgia is that you have to recognize how OLD you are in order to feel it properly. And then a Stephen King discussion branches off of the conversational ivy that sprouts in about 5 different directions, including the trials and tribulations of being a horror fan, why this is yet another 45 minute show, and why the Wednesday version of Ham-Fisted Radio is no more as of this episode.

“I’ve given up on pay TV” she says, talking about paying for TV via Amazon prime. heh.

The big issue with online services is copyright and varies guilds.
If the media companies would realize what exorbitantly long copyright is shooting them in the foot, we could get a lot more selection online. I am perfectly fine with commercials being in the shows.

And I agree with Dawn: If it isn’t online, I’m just going to download it from the internet.
BTW Piracy is the DISTRIBUTION of media, not the download. The media companies front is that it’s illegal to download, but the courts have never agreed to this. It why you ALWAYS here it’s about distribution. Usually vie bit torrent.
